How is my XPUB used?

If you choose to connect a wallet using an extended public key (XPUB), Hoseki uses it to view the public Bitcoin addresses associated with that wallet. This allows us to:

• Detect your wallet’s accounts
• Display balances
• Generate statements based on selected claims

We use your XPUB and associated addresses in a read-only manner. This means we can see your wallet’s receiving addresses and balances — but we can never move funds, sign transactions, or access your private keys.

XPUBs help us maintain up-to-date claims over time. As you continue to use your wallet, we can refresh the claim to reflect your current holdings — giving you an accurate and verifiable proof of funds whenever you need it.

Your XPUB and associated addresses are encrypted and stored securely. We never share them with third parties without your express consent.

You’re always in control. You can remove or disconnect a claim at any time, and your Bitcoin always remains in your custody.
