What is a Statement Request?

A statement request is a request from one of Hoseki’s institutional partners — using our Verify platform — to verify your ownership of Bitcoin.

These requests typically come from financial institutions (like lenders, underwriters, or counterparties) that need proof-of-funds ownership verification for your self-custodial Bitcoin.


How it works:

  • The institution initiates the request through Hoseki Verify.
  • You’ll receive the request in your Prove Dashboard — it will appear both on your main dashboard and under the "Requests" tab.

  • You can review the request, including which attributes the institution is asking to see (e.g. total balance, account activity, etc.).

  • You then choose which of your claims you want to use to fulfill the request.
  • Once approved, a one-time statement is generated and shared with both you and the requesting institution.

You’re always in control

Before approving anything, you’ll see exactly what information is being requested and what will appear on the completed statement.
